We are super happy to announce we won Yorkshire Florist of the Year and West Yorkshire Wedding Florist of the year twice in a row from Yorkshire Prestige Awards and Northern Enterprise Awards respectively.
This is a super testament to all the hard work the team put in for two years running. I, as EarthThings Florist Owner, could not be more proud of my ladies in the shop and my delivery drivers supporting our customers for going above and beyond.
We have weathered many challenges and we rose to them all. From the basement flooding and damaging stock, to the front window leaking and damaging the ceiling, to supplier difficulties and staffing shortages, we beat it all.
The award goes to the team not the business per se. What we do is pure human endeavour to satisfy our customers more than they could possibly expect from a small business. Like when we delivered wedding flowers to the wedding party only for the groom to point out they were two buttonholes short due to not adding two new guests to the list they gave us. Within the hour we had made and delivered them.
To the very personal funeral tributes we produced this year. This is always an honour for us and we take great pride and put in lots of time and effort to surpass expectations on what we produce. Floristry really is an art. It’s not something you can pick up in your spare time and there are few professionally qualified at it nowadays. This year we produced diverse tributes, from an elephant, to a jellybaby, to a jellybean, to a motorbike and the usual array of football and rugby shirts and balls. We even produced a fried egg once. All out of living flowers.
So my final words have to go to our lovely and loyal customers. We do appreciate your business and we will be even better in 2025.
